Where are my patterns saved?
On your device. Count & Canvas stores your projects, stash, and settings locally and works fully offline. Because everything lives on the device, deleting the app removes your saved work — export anything you want to keep first.
How do I get a design out of the app?
Use Export or Print in the designer. You can export a pattern file, an SVG, a true-size PNG, or a Cricut-ready outline through the iOS share sheet, and print true-size charts, symbol charts, or a full project packet.
How does "photo to pattern" work?
Pick a photo, choose how many colors you want, and the app converts it into a stitch chart on your device. Photos are never uploaded.
Does it support needlepoint and cross-stitch?
Yes — you can chart in a painted needlepoint look or a counted-cross-stitch symbol chart, build palettes from real DMC colors, and get floss and yardage estimates.
Do I need an account or internet?
No account, no sign-up, no internet required. Everything runs locally.
